Shared rooms (Dining, Café, …)

Everyone can gather at the table. Chat history for shared rooms stays in the house database. If a shared room sits empty for about an hour, we only clear temporary memory — your history is still there when people return.

Private / personal rooms & sessions

Personal rooms keep a live session while someone is still part of that visit. If one person logs out, the other can still see the chat. When the session ends (both gone / last logout) we wait 5 minutes (crash grace), then archive and clear the live log so the room is clean again.

Avatars & profile pictures

PNG, JPG, or GIF only. Uploads are resized and kept light (under ~500 KB after processing) so the house stays fast for everyone.

Private room backgrounds

Dress your room with an uploaded image — PNG, JPG, or GIF. Max about 2000px wide (we resize) and 500 KB after compress. No web pages or random HTML as backgrounds.

Report, block & false reports

You can report from someone’s profile or the avatar menu. Reports are reviewed. Falsifying reports or gaslighting to misuse the system can get you reprimanded (mutes / suspensions). Play fair — Rockstar-style: evidence matters, abuse of Report does not.

Chat images

Moderators can post images in shared rooms where allowed. Formats: PNG, JPG, GIF only (no WebP).

Account & sign-in

If you see “Session expired,” sign in again. Keep your email/password safe. Daily security rotation may ask everyone to refresh around early morning.

Forgot password? On the password step, choose Forgot password?, enter the email on your account, and check your inbox for Reset Your Password.

Locked out from mistyped passwords? The gate offers Email me unlock / reset links. Check the email on your account for Unlock Your Password Lockout — both links clear the lockout; one also lets you set a new password. Save AskRue™ backup codes when you hook your authenticator. If you lose your authenticator (no backups), use Contact Us — include your username and the email on the account. AskRue™ never asks you to scan a QR from email or DM.

Agents (Ani & friends)

Named family members (Ani, Aether, Chees, and others) are AI personas, not real people — see Terms §5. They do not converse with general members; they respond only to house operators at Rue level and above. Presence in a room is visible, not a chat invitation. Some operator tools use slash names (and aliases like Chad for Sable); that does not mean an AI persona will answer you in chat.

Age: chat vs Dhraconyx

RUEZALS.chat (this house) is 18+. Date of birth is collected at signup.

Dhraconyx (the screen-translation overlay) is a separate product and is 13+. Same Ask Rue identity may reach both surfaces — each product still enforces its own age rule. Full product terms: dhraconyx.ruezals.com/terms.

Dhraconyx — what it is

Dhraconyx is a screen overlay: you place a box over part of a window; it can OCR, translate, and (optionally) use Talk speech-to-text. It does not open other programs or read other process memory. Without an activation key or unlocked seat, it captures nothing. Chat retention rules do not apply to overlay Translate/Read/Talk text (those are not kept as conversation records).

A seat is one computer bound to your licence. Stripe processes card payments. Full commercial detail: Dhraconyx Terms.

Dhraconyx trial (72 hours)

New machines get a 72-hour trial. A machine that already used a trial does not get another — reinstalls on the same computer do not reset the lock.

Dhraconyx refunds (24 hours)

A refund is available only within 24 hours of the paid charge. After that there is no refund. You may still cancel anytime (access continues through the end of the paid period).

How to cancel Dhraconyx

Cancel anytime from the app: open the Account tab → Cancel subscription, confirm in the app, then finish on the cancel page at dhraconyx.ruezals.com/cancel/.

• Access continues until the end of the paid period; remaining time is not refunded.
• You can cancel the Meme Generator add-on alone (Scout/Ranger) and keep the base plan; canceling the subscription also ends meme access at period end.
• If you have more than one licence or seat, the cancel page lets you choose which to cancel or which seat to release.

Which legal page applies?

• This chat / house — Terms, Privacy, AUP, Policy (18+).
• Dhraconyx overlay — dhraconyx.ruezals.com/terms (13+; trial/refund/cancel above).
• ruezals.com craft / Etsy shop — separate site terms & privacy (not chat house rules).

Public product contacts stay support@ and billing@ only — no street address on these pages.

Chat safety & allowed characters

Only house-safe letters and punctuation are allowed in chat. Odd symbols, scripts, and invisible characters become a box (□). Flooding or injection attempts earn a warning, then a 168-hour chat ban.
